Megan O’Connor is an environmental engineer and chemist who has 7 years experience in developing carbon nanotube membrane separation technologies. She received her Ph.D. from Duke University, and her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Union College (Schenectady NY). 


Desirée L. Plata, Ph.D.


Desirée Plata is a chemist and environmental engineer with over 16 years of experience in developing nanostructured materials and wastewater management strategies. She also has extensive experience in the nanomaterial manufacturing space. Desiree received her Ph.D. from MIT and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and her undergraduate chemistry degree from Union College (Schenectady NY).

Chad D. Vecitis, Ph.D.

Co-Founder and CTO

Chad Vecitis is a chemist, environmental engineer, and material scientist with over 17 years experience developing nanomaterials and nanotechnologies for electrochemical deposition and filtration. He received his Ph.D. from California Institute of Technology, and his undergraduate chemistry degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Emily Jennings is a mechanical engineer with over a year of experience developing clean energy technologies. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union College (Schenectady, NY).

Christoph Moore is a Chemical Engineer with 5 plus years experience in utilizing, designing, and implementing membranes systems around the globe. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno (Reno, NV).

Summer Hatmaker is a chemist with over a year of experience with developing laboratory practices. She is currently receiving her A.S. in a Biology transfer program at Roane State Community College (Oak Ridge, TN).
